Yippee!!! Rolling on the floor laughing

That’s what you might have said when you’ve heard about Facebook for every phone, right?

Well, Facebook has launched its application that can run on almost every mobile phone while keeping most of its features. You might already have tried it.

If not, you can download it right now by guiding your phone’s browser to: http://d.facebook.com/install

Facebook for every phone - Official Facebook App

Yes, it’s indeed true that it can run on almost every phone.

But, on many phones, it lacks one of the MOST WANTED feature of Facebook – CHAT.

Yes, the official Facebook App for every phone cannot provide you with the fancy Chat service (and that’s why you may not like it Angry smile).

However, this App can be a fantastic combination with one another Facebook App (third – party release) called as Facebook Chat (yep, this is what it is called).

Facebook Chat App

The Facebook Chat application can run on almost every mobile phone device with JAVA support. It is a lightweight application and does not requires too much of RAM.

It will also maintain the categories of your contacts if you have categorised your contacts on Facebook.

The combination of both of these apps on your phone can make even a low end phone perfectly Facebook ready.

You can download the Facebook Chat app from: http://bit.ly/pJ13Gx

Hope that this will entirely change the way you use your phone.

Like always, comments and suggestions are always invited. Smile

Live TV on the go!!!

So, finally!

After a long time of research, I’ve finally found some easy methods to watch Live TV on your portable devices (or even non-portable, it doesn’t matters). You may find some sites that allow you to stream English TV channels but it’s a big deal when it comes to finding a safe, reliable, yet useful service which allows you to stream Indian TV channels.

However, I’ve finally managed to find some suitable services.

Yes, that’s true. And, the best part – they’re all free!!! Smile

Now, you’re excited to know how it is done. Well, it’s very easy (however, it is really difficult to research this on your own). Whatever!

So, here we go:

For Android Phones:

Android

This is a good news for all of the Android fans and users (of course!). There is a free App available in the Android market that lets you stream Live TV on your phone.

What’s more? It even lets you choose your network type. So, if you have 3G or Wifi network then you can enjoy high quality Live TV on your phone. However, if you don’t have those expensive networks (forgive me if they aren’t expensive for you), you still need not cry. This app also supports 2G networks with a little, unnoticeable decrease in quality. This app has many Indian channels available for live streaming.

Before you get mad and start crying, let me tell you the name of the app. It’s called: Mera LiveTv. You can download it from the official Android Market for free and stream free live TV on your Android phone.

For PCs:PC

For those who want to watch Live TV on their personal computers, I have a real treat!

Yes, you don’t need to download and install any junk software; no need to register at any useless websites anymore. It is just as simple as that!Watch Live TV on your PC

Just click this button to the right, choose a channel and you’re good to go.

This website provides free Live TV service with a little lag from the real television (who cares anyway!).

But, this site supports just a few channels currently; may be more channels will be added with time. Whatsoever, it contains most of the channels that we’d like to watch on our TV sets.

Finally, if you don’t have an Android phone, you need not shed your tears.

Yep, you can also watch Live TV even if you don’t have an Android phone. There are some WAP sites on the mobile web that provide free Live TV streaming to all of the phones. But, your phone should, at least, support online video streaming (most of the newer phone support it).

To stream Live TV on your phone, just open up your phone’s web browser and go to www.livemobiletv.info.

Click on Live Mobile TV and then choose a channel. This is it! Now you’ll be able to stream Live TV on your phone.

Enjoy Live TV!

Hope that you like this article.

Please comment and give suggestions as they are very much appreciated. Smile

Difficult it is,

to understand the meaning of the title written there above…

Well, here’s what I mean by it – while chatting on Facebook most of the people use simple text to chat with their friends. That’s good enough way for simple talking.

But, what if you want to highlight something or emphasise something – you write it in capitals (and your friends think that you’re shouting!).

When something funny comes in your way, you just type those three letters – LOL.

Okay.Facebook

But, did you know that you can also format your text during Facebook chat.

Like, for example, instead for writing I AM BUSY (i.e. in capitals, making your friends feel that you’re shouting), it would have been great if you could write it as I am busy (i.e. bold text, no more capitals, no more misconceptions! Winking smile).

Or, how good it would have been if you could underline some special points while chatting.

I am not just making you feel sick just by telling up all these possibilities, the good thing is that I’m going to share a simple yet effective method to format your text in Facebook chat.

Here we go:

To make your text bold, place it between two asterisk characters.

*Stop Yelling* will display in Facebook Chat as: Stop Yelling

To underline your text, place it between two underscore characters.

_Important Point_ will display in Facebook Chat as: Important Point

To underline and make bold, place the text between both asterisk and underscore characters.

_*STOP*_ will display in Facebook Chat as: STOP

Look! It is that much simple.

Now, there’s no more need to use those old traditional methods to highlight your important points during your conversations. Just use this simple method and you’re good to go.

What’s more, you can boast this trick on your friends and, if you like, you can tease them too (I wouldn’t recommend it however. Instead give them a link to this post Winking smile).

While writing all this, I feel that I should also give away these:

Facebook Emoticons

No need to mention, this is a list of characters that you can type on the Facebook chat window to display their respective graphical emoticons. You may already be knowing some of these (or may be all, who knows?).

Share this page with your friends, make them know that you can also format text in the Facebook chat window and become the hero.

And, I love to read your comments and suggestions; so you needn’t stop doing that.

Bye for now! Smile

UPDATE:

As the new Facebook chat system is launched, the formatting features (like bold and underline) are no more working. They might have been removed as more and more people have started using them (because of articles like this one!!! Winking smile).

I’ll be back soon with another alternative to this (if I find one), till then, keep using those smileys and be connected!

Hi there!

You know what?

I am writing this article to promote the so called world’s most used web browser, the Internet Explorer.

IE9 Logo

As so many web browsers are available, nowadays, people are switching from IE to other web browsers like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox etc.

That’s good if you think that IE cannot satisfy you and you really want to use a different web browser.

But, do you really need a different web browser?

Is IE that poor?

Well, well, well…

Let me explain.

Early in the 19th century, Netscape Navigator was the only web browser. And you know what, people had to pay to use it. Yup, they had to pay just for the web browser, the internet subscription apart.

On August 23rd, 1995, Microsoft released their Windows 95 operating system, including a Web browser called Internet Explorer. People loved it for a big BIG reason: it’s free! Microsoft did the courage of releasing a web browser that is free for all. The web really began to live its life from that time. Forget the modern web that you’re using today if there were no Internet Explorer.

By the fall of 1996, Internet Explorer had a third of market share, and passed Netscape to became the leading web browser in 1999. After that, it had no looking back. People became fan of Microsoft and its lovely Internet Explorer. Netscape now started weeping and crying, but no effect. IE took everything from it. Yup, Netscape Navigator is officially NO MORE…

TODAY’S CONDITION:

Although IE is still the most used web browser in the world but it has lost the charm it had in its early years. Most of the people I meet use third-party web browsers that I’ve mentioned above.

About Internet Explorer, there’s a common opinion – It’s SLOW!!!

But hey, let me tell ya. IE9 is out there. And it ROCKS!!!

IE9 is no more that bloated, slow internet application. It’s an awesome combination of speed, security, performance and the greatest – support for modern web standards.

Happy now? See IE9 in action here, you’ll love it (I recommend using IE9 to browse this site):

Now you say, Speed?

Take a look:

IE9 Speed! People are blown away by it.

Features

User Interface:

Trust me on this, IE9 has the most beautiful UI I’ve ever seen. It is clean and site-centric UI that lets the sites shine so that it’s the site that you pay attention at, not the web browser.

Security:

There’s never been any doubt related to the security of Internet Explorer. It has always been the most secure web browser and will always be! No doubt in that.

Still, there are many more features that need to be discussed about IE9 but I leave that job to you.

Keep on commenting and suggesting.

Let Internet Explorer rule the web, yet again!

Switch to IE9, you’ll love it. Let’s promote Microsoft so that they keep on doing great work and keep bringing good new releases of the legend – Internet Explorer.

Update:

For those who still don’t believe me:

Take a look at the SunSpider Javascript Benchmark results. (Notice that smaller bars are better).

IE9 takes the least time in Javascript rendering.

The new Javascript engine of IE9, codenamed Chakra, is awesome. Compare it with IE8 to feel how much has IE improved.

So, it’s not only my words that are speaking, the results speak it loud too!

IE9 rocks!!!

You can test your browser’s speed by following this link: http://ie.microsoft.com/testdrive/Mobile/Performance/SpeedReading/Default.html

After taking that test, compare it with my score (using IE9):My Browser Speed Test Result Using IE9
